Van Use Policy
God has blessed us with many exciting opportunities for ministry in Minn-I-Kota. Our vans are part
of that blessing. The network vans are available to any Minn-I-Kota youth group. If you have need of
getting your group somewhere check out the availability of the vans.

The following is the use policy adopted by the board.
Cost Policy: Vans
- Under 200 miles - One day use: $30 for day use for MIK groups
- 200-1000 miles flat rate .25 for MIK group use
- MIK Serve projects and all MIK group trips over 1000 miles - Flat rate of .30 per mile
- Gas costs not included
Trailer available for use. Additional cost for the trailer. No toppers may be places on either vehicle.
Drivers: Van drivers must be over 21 with valid driver’s license and listed on contract.
Return: Van will be returned, cleaned, and with a full tank of gas to designated return spot at which
time van needs to be checked for damages.
Damage: Users will be liable for all damages beyond normal wear and tear incurred during use of
the vehicle up to the $250 insurance deductible. Minn-I-Kota will not be liable for damage incurred
from reckless use of passengers. Minn-I-Kota is responsible for deductible on MIK sponsored
events. Ex. Serve trips, retreats, etc.
Maintenance: Minn-I-Kota will be responsible for all mechanical maintenance and repairs.
Minn-I-Kota Youth Event Travel - Travel to any MIK ministry event will be funded by MIK.
