TEENS Minn-I-Kota commits to coordinating transportation to various Serve projects and convention each year. In choosing certain serve sites, Minn-I-Kota leaves open the option for teens to go to any of the Youth Unlimited sites. In choosing the optional sites the individual will be solely responsible for arranging their own transportation details. They will also be responsible for finding an adult leader if needed. (Necessary if over 5 people attend one particular site). Adult costs will be covered through the MIK policy. Travel will consider the most cost effective means of travel which may include air, bus, vehicle rentals, or driving. Costs will be collected from teens and distributed to the various leaders for each individual project.
You are responsible for sending your Registration directly to Youth Unlimited. You will also be responsible to send the attached form along with a $50 non-refundable deposit to Minn-I-Kota Youth. This will reserve your spot in a vehicle to your particular Serve site. Special arrangements can be made for one-way travel if you let us know that now. We need to have this sent in as soon as you decide where you are going. Vehicle rentals and arrangements need to take place early in the season.
Many sites fill up quickly so get your registrations in early to assure your first choice placements. OCTOBER 1 registration opens!
ADULTS Minn-I-Kota commits to coordinating adult leadership for the sites chosen. We will work with youth leaders in finding adults from the various churches in proportion to the amount of teens going from that church. Youth Unlimited policy requires 1 adult for 5 teens. The costs for the registration and transportation will be covered by MIK. Adults must accompany teens to site to be eligible for the funding. You are crucial to this ministry! Teens are not able to go to events unless adults are willing to get them there. Must be 21 years of age.
